James Frey Jr. died after his Polaris six-wheeler overturned and landed on his head, troopers said. The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on the Permanenta Trail near Mile 71.5 Glenn Highway.

Frey was hunting with his brother at the time, troopers said.

Frey was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was released to his family.
